Marinakis is looking to recruit a Financial Manager who will join our team on the basis of a full-time contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination of the Financial and Accounting Department of the company.
  • Lead and manage the Finance, Accounting, Personnel/payroll for all operations.
  • Advices on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Responsible for validity of data entry into the Financial Management System.
  • Lead the preparation of Management Accounts and other Reporting.
  • Lead and manage company cost control activities.
  • Responsible for audit of financial statements.
  • To maintain accurate Sales and Purchasers ledger and manage supplier payments and Company income.
  • Reports to the company President and the Board of Directors regarding financial, audit, tax issues.
  • Participates in the formulation of the future strategy of the company.
  • Prepares/ updates the long-term financial plan of the company.
  • Prepares Budgets, Cash Flows, and Forecasts.
  • Develops and monitors financial controls and accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal control.
  • Maintain speed and accuracy of billings and client payments.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner.
  • Assist in design, implementation and timely calculations of wage incentives, commissions and salaries for employees. – Salary control.
  • Identify loopholes in all departments and recommend risk aversion methods and cost savings.
  • Deals with Auditors and related Government Authorities (i.e., Income Tax, VAT and applications for reduced VAT for beneficiaries etc).
  • Deals with Banks, customers and subcontractors.
  • Conducting research to identify new cooperation opportunities to the Management according to business needs.
  • Reviews and audits subsidiary and associate companies’ financial reports and procedures.
  • Ensures adherence of the company to the International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Additional Financial Manager duties, as necessary.

Requirements:

  • ACCA, ACA or other equivalent qualifications will be considered as advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting & Finance or in any other related discipline.
  • At least 3 years proven working experience as a Financial Manager in real estate sector.
  • Strong sense of professionalism, organizational, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Highly motivated, ability to use own initiative, work under pressure, prioritize, work independently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek languages, both oral and written.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office software’s.

  • Achieves all sales targets on a consistent basis outlined by the Sales and Marketing Manager.
  • Contacts new Affiliates of the Company to introduce the Company, its products / services and ascertain the needs and individual circumstances of each new Affiliate.
  • Conducts an induction program to new Affiliate.
